At Earthspan we enhance the design process through the integration of spatial data

GEOSPATIAL

Much of the physical world can be distilled into a map or a model. Civil systems are defined by both their geographic limits and the spatial relationships between project components. Watersheds have topographic limits, regional standards are limited by jurisdictional boundaries, land use can be categorized, and elements of the built environment, such as a bridge, have dimensional extents. These seemingly independent natural and manmade systems have geospatial interdependencies whose consideration is essential to the development of holistic civil engineering design. This process of geodesign is multi-faceted...much like the design perspective at Earthspan.

ENGINEERED.

At Earthspan we believe in the enhancement of the engineering design process through the integration of spatial data resources. As context is key to a lasting design, we incorporate the analysis of spatial data into our engineering practice to peer beyond the limits of the traditional design perspective. While standards often remain static, geographic details of a site are in continual flux. At Earthspan our approach ensures that consideration is given to the systems in which each project resides.

Montour woods CONSERVATION AREA

Earthspan really showed their commitment to improving public access to nature. Their engineers provided technical drawings necessary to fund the Montour Run bridge being built by Hollow Oak Land Trust. This key project will link the Montour Trail, Montour Woods Conservation Area and Moon Park ...and Earthspan played a key role in making it happen.
